Ow, ow, ow! or "Thank God for Ibuprofen"

There's a trail up in the Daniel Boone National Forest called "RedBird" that some fella's around the state decided to get together and ride. I tagged along on my trusty KLX250s. Little did I know I would be the only fella there with a green bike. It seems EVERYBOBY is riding Orange these days, and I can see why after playin' the role of the weak sister all day. Ordinarily, the KLX is the class of the field at a DS gathering, but the tight, mountain woods riding brought out the hardcore element within the community. Damn!, those guys are fast. Damn!, my shoulders are sore. And Double Damn!, I wish my calf muscles would quit cramping!

Only dropped the bike twice, which is two times more than it has hit the ground since I have owned it. This should give you an indication of how technical the trail is. Once at the BOTTOM the worst downhill - steep decline, two foot drops off rocks the entire descent - which I managed to complete upright and then promptly dropped the bike crossing a 6-inch log across the trail. Go figure.

Then there was this 20 foot long pool in the trail.... engine under water but still breathing, I gunned it WFO about the time the front wheel found a big rock and ripped the bars out of my hands. Splash! I managed to hit the kill switch before it could flood out, righted it, and rode out looking like some mud covered bog-monster. The rest of the group enjoyed that immensely.

I could tell I was holding back the fellas on the fancy orange bikes, so I bailed onto an intersecting blacktop. The GPS sent me off onto a dirt road called Bowen Creek Rd. Realize, I am thoroughly knackered by now. So, I'm haulin' ass down Bowen Creek Rd. for miles. And miles. When I finally come upon a toothless fella on a four wheeler. "Keep goin'", he says, "66 is a couple miles ahead. Just cross the river and it's right there." I thanked him for his help and continued on. Until, I saw "cross the river" didn't include a bridge.

Yes, I rode through the river. And yes, I was a contender for the Gold in sphincter tension, but it went a long way toward getting the bike clean again.

That God for ibuprofen.

FWIW

It appears Vox got around to commenting on the Jackboots. From the comments:

Having been involved in SWAT team training before I got a conscience, got out, and got an honest job:

Yes.

Every PD SWAT team I worked with was the place where the department concentrated their loose cannons, trigger-happy cowboys, gonzo gung-ho Soldier of Fortune military dress-up queens, anger management nutcases, and einsatzgruppen wannabes. Every one. I did not meet *one* SWAT cop I would trust with a loaded gun if I was standing in front on him, and I met a hell of a lot I wouldn't trust even if I was standing well behind them. The job positively draws guys who salivate at the prospect of smashing things, hurting people, whipping around loaded guns like garden hoses, and opening up a can of whupass on anybody they feel like without fear of any repercussions.

I have heard this "got a conscience and left" on other time and from a personal acquaintance of mine. It struck me as an oddity for a time, but perhaps that is not so.

The Luddite in Chief

Always nice to get some good meaty hypocrisy from Captain Kenya:

"With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, -- none of which I know how to work -- information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation," Obama said.

It's not exactly hard to figure why the left is bemoaning folk getting information for diverse outlets. Oh, the irony....

It Sucks to Get Old

and Slow.

Excerpt from a letter to a dualsport riding group about this last weekend's ride at Renfro Valley:

I've gotta say I'm really impressed by how awesome these dual sport blokes are. I was winded after about 1 hour in the mud, dumped enough times to start naming tree roots and rocks with intimate accolades, and will forever be in debt to the most generous man on a gasgas? 250? who picked my ass up out of the mud on 2 occasions cause my back was blown. It was particularly humbling when on the 2nd occasion he got me up on the bike, I was ready to go, only to fall the other way on the trail before I even let the clutch out. I will pick up the next poor sap who dumps in front of me, I swear.

After limping back to the hotel taking a long cut on the road which turned my ass to a shade of black and blue (love ktm seats), I shuffled up to my room, took a shower and a nap. Got up and went to dinner and guys were still out in what looked like a wet scene from that lobster fisherman show, and I thought.... how?

Went back to the warm cozy room only to be disturbed at 6:30pm from noise outside my room and 2 guys were just getting in! No food, nothing, just back from trail. And they said they were getting too old.... dang...

You are all supermen to me and I can only aspire to keep up with you. Jeff kicked my ass and Barry was somewhere in front of us and he lost me. I don't know how many passed me but in all fairness it was only because I was laying winded and broken in a face full of mud waiting for someone to roost over my back.

Cant wait till the next ride but beware young and old supermen.... these old broken bones will mend and I will get in shape. Look out for the orange (and hopefully not bleeding red) shape in front of you. He will do the whole trail...... I hope....

No, that's not me, but I'll not say it's never been me.

JACmail

Help a brother out, y'all.

Zion's Paladin (24.205.64.113)
Hey y'all. I'm gonna branch OT here.

JAC, this is mostly to you, though anyone else can feel free to chime in. Not like I could stop you from doing that anyway. Smile

Anywho, I finally got off my ass and scheduled an appointment with the DMV to take the written test for my motorcycle license. Since I already passed the MSF course, the practical is over and done with. But I'm facing two concerns that I need some advice or suggestions on.

1) Riding jeans. I've found at least one good site that sells a wide variety, both in the amount of armor plating they offer, types of jeans and sizes, including mine. My cautious nature tells me to get as much armor plating as they'll put in, but I wanted to check with the experienced riders here on whether that's the way to go, or if there's armor plating in certain areas I should avoid.

2) This is the doozy. Riding a motorcycle is my first experience with a manual tranny ever. While I am very confident in my ability to handle a bike in terms of steering, braking etc., the throttle control and gear shifting is what's got me concerned. With a car, someone else could drive down to a parking lot, field or whatnot and switch places with the learner so they can get the necessary experience. With a bike, my only choice is grit my teeth and learn or rent a trailer to haul it back and forth while I get the necessary experience. This is where I need the majority of the advice and suggestions.

Woulda e-mailed you JAC, but my previous laptop had a glass of water run into it, and I couldn't find your e-mail address anywhere else.

Real quick, ZP.

1) Riding Jeans. They are nice in very hot weather and I use Diamond Gusset brand, but an armoured oversuit or overpants is preferable like this.

2) Shifting. It ain't that big of a deal. The basics are;keep the RPM's between the engine dieing and the tachometer redline and all is well. The initial takeoff is the difficult part as there is so much going on all at one. A primary foible a new rider will make is while making a left turn across traffic: So much attention will be paid to a successful lutch/accelerator interaction that none is paid to the rate of acceleration resulting in either a) panic and freeze up while turning leading to collision, or b) a dropped bike in the middle if the intersection. Bear in mind you may "slip" the clutch as needed to learn a feel for it and it is always permissible to pull the lever back in after taking off. That second bit will save your ass from a lot of rookie screwups. I watch my brother damned near ride off a bridge 'cause he was concentrating so hard on letting the clutch out to take off without "killing" the engine.

Best Practices

Should be copied and expanded. These deep thinkers should be sent up to a national level office. Oh, wait.... that already happened.

From WGN news and the Chicago Tribune:

State reps want to fight violence with National Guard's help

So far this year, 113 people have been killed across Chicago, the same number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan combined in the same period, Fritchey said.

"As we speak, National Guard members are working side-by-side with our troops to fight a war halfway around the world," Fritchey said. "The unfortunate reality is that we have another war that is just as deadly taking place right in our backyard." While the National Guard has been deployed in other states to prevent violence related to specific events and protests, the Chicago legislators said they are unaware of guardsmen being deployed to assist with general urban unrest.

So how is it Chicago isn't a paradise on earth? Leftists have had their way in Chicago for the last half century. The streets are surely made of gold, the shiny science fiction future of communal living, urban planning, high taxes..er.. "contributions", and suborning the individual to the state will take hold any minute now. You'll see. Really.

Fun News Day!

Two happenings are very interesting and, yes, amusing today:

1) From the Daily Mail: White racist lawyer stabbed to death by a black racist convict.

and;

2)From Pravda: Chomsky warns US on the verge of becoming a new WWII Germany.

It is worth noting that both stories are from the foreign press, especially given that their perspective seems to be a view askance toward the US as an unstable entity.

Item one has me head scratching in that there is a so much going on it is nearly overwhelming to try to determine who the greater villain is. One one hand you have a white skinflint lawyer who keeps to himself locally apparently taking advantage of his neighbor's convict status to get some work done really cheap, on the other you have a black tribally decorated violent criminal who committed the public service of lawyercide.
You see why this is a tough nut? I have ommited the term "racist" from the description of both parties as it is useful a descriptor of an individual human as "bipedal".

Item two contains the following:
It's very similar to Weimar Germany, the parallels are striking." Here, too, there is a tremendous disappointment with the parliamentary system, pointed Chomsky interviewing on Truthdig.

"The United States is very lucky that no honest and charismatic figure has appeared, and if this were to happen this country would be in real trouble for the frustration, disillusionment and the justified anger combined with the absence of a coherent response," he concludes.

In Germany, he recalls, an enemy was created to explain the crisis which was the Jew. "Here they are the illegal immigrants and blacks. We will say that white men are a persecuted minority. We will say that we must uphold and defend the honor of the nation. Military force will be exalted. There will be blows. This could be converted into an undeniable force. And if it takes place, it will be more dangerous than Nazi Germany. The United States is a world power ... I do not believe that this is far from happening," he says.

This is interesting in that folks watching the US from afar have a take on the country that is far different from those among us who self identify as the most wise, cosmopolitan, and politically savvy; i.e. the non-classical liberal or leftist. To ask a modern leftist to put the US on an historical timeline with both the beginning and an endpoint will illicit only rapid eyelid flutter. They are very hard to jolt out of a mindset that includes an eternal economic system and an eternal representative government, both of which are obvious absurdities, but speak to the traditional historical ignorance of the left.

The only comment I have regarding Chomsky's characterization of the racial component of unrest in the US is the fact that the only folks not over the black/white thing are black folk. Now, if folks ever start to realize their beef isn't with illegals, but rather those who wish to drive down their labor costs by increasing the available workforce through the attraction of illegal immigrants, coupled with the ongoing Depression, then we are looking at something a bit more akin to France circa 1788 han the Wiemar Republic circa 1932. Though it must be mentioned in support of Chomsky's analysis that the US has already implemented the Gleichschaltung.

Glory Days

We've all got things that cue memories of more innocent times. I was rolling through Southern indiana yesterday when I came across one of these for sale:

Mikesbo sends this:

This thing was in excellent condiion. That exhaust had its twin on the other side. Based on that and condition, I'd say this guy is probably making a wee bit more than stock, which means it'll go like stink and then some.

Yamaha moved the engine closer toward the front on the RD400 to try and tame the unintended wheelie proclivity of the RD350. My first bike was the grand-daddy of this one, the YDS3.

High Seas Freighters Must Convert to Oars

The latest Obamacrat to utter what passed across his stuttering brain synapses thinks the Third World has the right idea when it comes to folks getting around: Pedal Power!
Yes! You, too, can extend that half hour commute to a half day bicycle trek!

This signals that the Obama administration has come to grips with the fact the US population will be poor for the near future and is seeking to incorporate this paradigm shift in personal transportation; Put simply folk won't be able to afford gas.

Notice the idiot didn't say anything about efficiency, speed, or even cheap transport, just how we need to spend money on a mode of transport that only the poorest, most miserable folk on the planet are forced to adopt. Fear not for your betters, though, even the Commissars had the Zil.

Harley Bashing: It's catching.

Comment from: rolicheroli
So I'm not all that into motorcycles but over the past week I've come to hate Harley fags as well...There we were in Key West enjoying drinks at plenty of cool outdoor bars in 70 degree weather. Relaxing, right? Hell no! Because at every green light at the intersection down the street, you could hear the next pack of fat assed, dirty old posers revving up for no damn good reason other than to announce to the world, "Look at me! I'm awesome!" Their claim might have been a bit more accurate had they not been one of a thousand assholes just like themselves polluting the place with unneeded racket. All I could think of was that South Park episode, and how dead nuts accurate it was at portraying these fags. There I feel better now.

Stuck in a Time Warp or Glory Days

From a thread of Harley riders whining about motorcylists making fun of their sissy clothes and chick-bikes:

Rollie Free's Vincent was not on the street. It was a Bonneville salt bike.

In fact, virtually no Vincents were on the street in the late 50s and 60s. Vincent went out of production in 1948 or so.
And Ariel Square Four, at 1000cc with 7:1 compression and 42hp vs the 900cc Sportster's 55hp. The Sportster was King of the Road from 1957 until the late-60s and the emergence of the "Superbike" with the Norton 750/850s, Honda 4, Kawa triples etc etc.

And no Vincent ever made, ever went anywhere near as fast as this Sportster:

"In 1970, Cal Rayborn piloted a Sportster-powered streamliner across the Bonneville salt flats to a world motorcycle land speed record of 265.492 miles per hour. The long, low, cigar-shaped missile in which Rayborn became the fastest man on two wheels has frequently been referred to as the “Rayborn streamliner”

This Sportster was THE FASTEST MOTORCYCLE IN THE WORLD in 1970.

Yeah, they're shit now.... But 40 years ago they were HOT!
Notice "Il Douche'" compares the performance of factory sponsored Harley streamliner in 1970 to that of an unfaired basically stock privateer Vincent in 1948. But the (Heavily modified probably-nitro-burning factory sponsored) Sportster was THE FASTEST MOTORCYCLE IN THE WORLD in 1970!

If they weren't morons they wouldn't ride Harleys.

Incidentally, doesn't that Vincent remind you of a new Confederate?

For When a Trailer Just Isn't Enough

There is talk that VW is looking to get into the motorcycle business, and since they already build the only decent Harley engine (by Porsche - another VW company), and Harley is really struggling financially.... well, just put 2 and 2 together.

And then this comes to light. It comes standard with an oil absorbent mat instead of carpet in the cargo area. No shit.

Bill Bennett Thinks Folks Have a Really Short Memory

In these times of high "throw the bums out" sentiment, Bill Bennett just pinched a loaf behind the dumpster and he thinks pedestrians should pretend they smell roses.

To say the GOP and the Democrats are no different, to say the GOP needs to hit a recovery-program-type bottom and hang its head in remorse, is to delay our own country’s recovery from the problems the Democratic left is inflicting. The stakes are too important to go through that kind of exercise, which will ultimately go nowhere anyway — because it’s already happened.

"It" most certainly has NOT happened. What Bill Bennett's letter exemplifies is the "R" party attempting to pull present anti-government sentiment under it's umbrella by the simple act of lying "We heard you". Move along; nothing new to see here. Folks are probably dumb enough to fall for it. Again.

More and more, folks are figuring out the Republican party and the Democratic party are the same. To claim they are different because one rushes headlong toward some socialist or corporatist proposal and the other pussy-foots up to it is absurd. Anyone conscious for the past 15 years has seen the bait and switch in action wherein "d" party pushes for "x" implementation while party "r" opposes, only to have party "r" implement "x" the first chance they get when ascended to power and vice versa. Ever heard of NAFTA? Socialized drug benefit?

The "r" faction of the central party apparatchiks will learn to incorporate some "Ron Paul" speak on the economy on Sunday talk shows and both factions will continue backing whatever foreign adventures and wall street handouts are on the table.

Two halves of the same whore-bought coin. Both parties are owned by bankers and financiers, pander to minorities, and pay lip service to their grass roots constituents while betraying them at the first opportunity. Follow the money.

While writing to refute the assertion of a bifactional central party Bennett takes great pains to insure folks understand the speaker he refers to was an alcoholic, and not just an alcoholic but one who is violating the "rules" of "recovery". So much for honest, principled discourse from the "R" faction. "Don't pay any attention to him! He's a drunk!"

Indian Summer my ass.

Dude, I Don't Get It.

Just fucking leave. Don't destroy your home, your family, and your airplane - just fly the hell away.

Those who have figured out the deck is stacked and can no longer hide in a niche somewhere, having found themselves "noticed" by a tribe of manna hungry bureaucrats looking to make an example of another rube who didn't realize the judiciary is just the enforcement branch of the revenue service need to take the decision to leave. You can't fight city hall, and you damned sure can't fight the IRS. Just get the hell away from them.

Perhaps you won't live to the status you achieved in the states, but your children will have a father, your wife will have a husband.

Leave the sonsofbitches to each others company and amuse yourself with news of the self-destruction of the US from afar with the certitude it doesn't affect you or yours.

Like Apples and Gravity.....

Death Doctors follow socialized medicine.

The patient could have a terminal disease, like cancer. And patients at the "end of life" could be babies born with serious medical difficulties or seniors whose bodies are shutting down, one system after another.

"It's a cascade," Barrette said. "We can't invent it. We see it. There are safeguards."

Knowing someone personally who was in a position to fall under the needle for activation of a living will and then came to shortly after the decision was taken to "off" them , I suspect the docs are inflating their ability to predict outcomes and "you win some, you lose some" will be replaced with "you lose some" by the expedient of having any possible winners definately dead. Recently birthed babies are also mentioned in the article and this fits with the socialist tendency toward eugenics. Doctors are suckers for this kind of thing as it elevates them to the Godlike position of culling humans and that appeals to the hubris the practice of the healing arts tends to make one susceptible to. Don't think so? Talk to a woman whose unborn child has been diagnosed with Down's about the pressure and lies that were used to try to get her to abort the child.

As with any well intended authoritarian system there will be victims of mistakes and there will be victims of malicious action, both of which will be counted as cheap in the column of costs by Death Doctors and their proponents. It is worth noting that the mistakes will be dead as will the victims of malicious intent, so those unfortunate souls will be counted as evidence of the validity of a Death Doctor's eugenic quest.

The Leftist Trifecta: "Racism, Sexism, and Homophobia"

The leftist trifecta, "racism, sexism and homophobia" will always occur in extended conversation with an educated idiot.

There are a few things going on whenever someone uses the trifecta in a sentence:

1) You can safely determine your conversational partner is historically ignorant. Those who preach against the left's three great sins of man against man (sexist; I know) possess no mental timeline or perception of the movement of history beyond what happened on "survivor" last week. When asked what perversion is to be normalized after adult consensual same sex buggery, you'll get only owlish blinking or protestations that the world will be perfect once buggery is equated to sexual reproduction. The same holds true for an inquiry as to which form of life equal protection under law shall next be extended. There is a reason the left dismisses the "slippery slope"; they don't possess the historical knowledge to perceive its existence.

2) Your conversational partner wants you to know he is perceptive of popular societal trends and his superior powers of perception have painstakingly discerned the day-glo green painted path the sheep are taking toward media trumpeted enlightenment.

3) The moron is testing your reaction to determine whether you, too, have seen the subtle clues of endless repetition and stunningly original dramatic portrayals of morally, intellectually, and ethically superior women, black folk, and homosexuals. Failure to acknowledge the grave danger posed by the triumvirate as a given will be taken as evidence evil has not yet been stamped out in the world and as reason to continue on the path toward eugenics.

4) The idiot uses the leftist trifecta to determine if you are the consummate intellectual he so desperately wants you to perceive him to be.

The above are to be applied only to the willfully ignorant and incurious. Not everyone in a stupidity trap is there by design and may yet learn better.

Update: When the American Psychiatric Association removed homosexuality as a diagnosis from their DSM in 1973 it left an empty space: Intolerance Disorder. Dissent as a mental disorder; now who would have thought of that? (besides Lenin)

Why They Look at You Funny When You Talk About a Free Country

From Facebook:

Cynthia Proffitt
TO: Laurie Berg

ME TO YOU: Laurie, this country has NEVER been "free." This country's people have paid taxes since it's inception - hardly free. The authors of the Constitution were NOT against paying taxes that's WHY they put the right for Congress to levy taxes IN the Constitution. Seriously, did YOU really think our Founding Fathers were against taxation? You couldn't be MORE WRONG.

BTW: YOU highlight the fact that Palin is just like all the other politicians when YOU justify Palin's hypocrisy by comparing HER HYPOCRISY with other politicians hypocrisy.

"Free" country! You can't make this shit up.

Cynthia goes on to take on all comers in much the same way in a Palin Facebook thread. Hell, if an affirmative action moron can be president surely Cynthia can be a pundit.

When You Lawyer Up to Hide Data You're Liein'

Penn State's response to a Climategate FOIA request:

Expect some high falutin' rational such as, "The data belongs to someone else", or "private emails (on a public owned computer)", but also expect the arrogance displayed to not go unnoticed by the body politic even in pennsylvania.

State Universities are all the time gettin' too big for their britches, and need to be occasionally reminded where the money comes from as illustrated by UK's recent firing of a student employee for having his pistol in his car. For some reason schools feel ideologically bound to the practice of violating the civil rights of their students and employees. Must be a Mao thing.

Harley Goes to the Bugs

What's really going on in biker bars:

From Craigslist:

Harley rider pre-ride check off list:
1. Comb baseball player goatee and mustache
2. Spend 6- hours polishing gaudy chrome pieces. Be sure people can read the "Live to ride - ride to live" statement on gas tank lid.
3. Assure suspension can handle at least 560 pounds of rider
4. Pack cell phone and have tow service numbers programmed.
5. Look in mirror and perfect the "I'm a bad ass motherfucker" harley riding scowl.
6. Affix tassels from daughters bicycle to handle bars for added gay appearance.
7. Test flashers for when bike breaks down (99% probability)
8. Put on your wrist brace to help carpal tunnel from all of the unnecessary revving
9. Leather pants
10. Gloves
11. Wrap around sunglasses
12. Skull cap (German soldier type for the real badasses). Remember to think about the SAFETY aspect/argument of loud pipes as putting that potato chip on head. The real tough guys here will wear a bandana over their face (some with a skull) to look really scary----ooooh!
13. CAT work boots (new)
14. Leather vest with some "chapter" like: North chapter of pig fucking obese attention whore douche bags with fat ugly loud mouth wives.
15. HD t-shirt (of course). Because everyone needs to know what shop you paid $40 for a $5 hanes shirt at.
16. Remove baffles from pipes so EVERYONE can hear you going 18mph in 2nd gear at redline. Note: Most HD break down before hitting 2nd gear.
17. Starbucks gift card: This is usually your hangout--------------how tough.
18. Call friends with similar ridiculous motorcycle (WW2 outdated technology garbage) and pathetic store bought image (gay pirate from the Castro) attire. Have them ATTEMPT to meet you at the starbucks without breaking down or crashing due to being distracted from looking at themselves in their chrome.
19. Five packs of Marlboro reds to smoke while riding to look extra cool
20. Slam a 6 pack of Zima prior to ride.
21. Saddle bags attached to pick up and store broken parts that fall off bike as you ride/push (if you can call it riding without laughing) that hunk of shit down the road.

22. remove rear flap from leather pants.

In other news, It is rumored VW is thinking of buying the floundering Harley-Davidson. Not surprising and fitting that a company that made it's bones with an air cooled 70 years ago engine would be in a position to take over a company still using one.

The question is, will the Harley collective still claim HD is an american company when the producer of Hitlers "People's Car" owns it?

No Reason for Federal Intervention in College Football

Unless the yankee easterners think it will help break the SEC's dominance of the sport. Somewhere in their pea-brains they harbour the idea the BCS system inherently favors the SEC in some way and that's the reason their teams generally get the shit kicked out of them and not the fact that their "back east" teams play each other in rounds of patty-cake football all season.

If there had been a playoff system, maybe Cincinnati would have beaten Florida.....

Unrealistic Expectations

You two want a pack of cigarettes and good sex? These broads obviously don't realize which end of the gene pool they inhabit.

Hey, Bro, gotta follow through for the ladies.

On a more serious note re: the Tennessee Cigarette Sisters; An incident where a female is actually charged with a crime for falsely accusing someone of rape should be shouted about from the rooftops. Women are accustomed to not having to suffer negative consequences resulting from this type of "legal revenge" and if there is to be a paradigm shift in enforcement they at least should get a heads up.

Some Make Choices, Others Have Choices Thrust Upon Them

This gets filed under "thrust upon".

It makes the moniker "The One" much more appropriate.

Pigs.

The Stasi in Pittsburg beat this guy damned near to death for something people all over the South, West, and (increasingly) the Midwest, commonly do every day. One of the benefits of life in the big city. No doubt, they were reassigned to applause from their mates for making the streets safer for them to kick the shit out of anyone they choose.

"Not until 15 minutes later, when uniformed officers drove up in a van and Miles overheard their conversation, did he realize he had been arrested, he said. Initially, when the handcuffs were clamped around his wrists, he thought he was being abducted, he said."

He was being abducted, only by a gang of thugs with the might of the state behind it. Appeals to the boss thugs on his behalf are a waste of time. When you live in an urban hive it is understood you give up certain rights and all your dignity much the same as you do when you choose to board a commercial airplane. He just didn't get the memo.

What Happened in Massachusetts?

Indeed. How weird is it when a state that has been proud to be known to be a Mass (bad pun) of Kennnedy boot lickers revolts?

It hinges on 1) Obama showed himself to be a weak personality, a typical sneaky politician, and not very bright 2) Coakley said what she really thought too often 3) the white folks may have finally punched their "I am not a racist/sexist/homophobe tickets" enough to satisfy themselves.

Obama's performance on the job is highly reminiscent of Carter at his worst; flitting about the world apologizing on behalf of the US for everything from pretend global warming to the last administration tweaking their noses, ignoring huge unemployment, playing at "big picture" games while (not) working folk struggle. Strangely, even in Massachusetts those things matter.

Coakley managed to be the right candidate at the right time with stunning efficiency. She offended the observant catholic population of Mass. and showed herself to be abrasive, oblivious, and uninformed in a single stroke with her crack that perhaps Catholics should not work in emergency rooms. Chances are she was probably born in a Catholic hospital. I would like to think the folk in Mass. were starting to chaffe at Kennedy worship, but growing a spine is far too much to ask of the bootlickers. They are probably aquiver at having offended Obama.

It is a plain fact that even with a sorry assed candidate like McCain, the economy unraveling, and congress writing checks to banksters, had Obama been white he would have lost. As one roll in the hay is all playing the sympathy card will get you some folk, having finally voted for a black guy for high office president, are no longer carrying that particular monkey on their backs. The white folk are free to vote however they wish (unwisely most often - but not so much racially, except for black folk who vote racially always).

The race guilt card won't play again unless the left's commentariart manages to cook up some hitherto undiscovered subtle undercurrent of racism for which all white folks should feel guilty. And convince them of it. Not bloody likely outside of the DC stage, but good luck to 'em anyway.

Facebook Fun

Ken - thinks there's just too many Neanderthals in this country clinging to their guns, religion and "freedom" of inequity.

JACIII
Oh Stop! You'll make me blush.

{liberal sap}
Indeed, Ken. Indeed.

Jac III
Why, oh why, do those dumb hicks not know we only want to help them? To make life better for all? They are just too stupid to know we know what's best for them. And they're still trying to keep the black man down!

One Big Wrong Turn or The Damage One Sorry Son of a Bitch Railroad Lawyer Can Do

From Murray Rothbard's Just War.

Lincoln signed no less than ten tariff-raising bills during his administration. Heavy "sin" taxes were levied on alcohol and tobacco, the income tax was levied for the first time in American history, huge land grants and monetary subsidies were handed out to transcontinental railroads (accompanied by a vast amount of attendant corruption), and the government went off the gold standard and virtually nationalized the banking system to establish a machine for printing new money and to provide cheap credit for the business elite. And furthermore, the New Model Army and the war effort rested on a vast and unprecedented amount of federal coercion against Northerners as well as the South; a huge army was conscripted, dissenters and advocates of a negotiated peace with the South were jailed, and the precious Anglo-Saxon right of habeas corpus was abolished for the duration.

It is amazing how much fuckup can be traced to just a very short period of time the legacy of which is continued grief for generations removed from the evil deeds initiated by a very few evil men.

1) Prohibition - for which prisons overflow and privacy dies.

2) Income Tax - Whereby we are all slaves and ownership of our labor is claimed by bureaucrats and politicians.

3) Eminent Domain - The root of "corporate welfare" and condemnation (legal theft) of privately held property.

4) Gold Standard and Nationalized Banking System - See The Great Depression I and, now, II.

5) Credit Inflation - Bubbles anyone?

Further we are seeing more and more that the yankee (spit) deified state will tolerate no other god before it:

The Union was taken, by its Northern worshipers, from a contractual institution that can either be cleaved to or scrapped, and turned into a divinized entity, which must be worshipped, and which must be permanent, unquestioned, all-powerful. There is no heresy greater, nor political theory more pernicious, than sacralizing the secular. But this monstrous process is precisely what happened when Abraham Lincoln and his northern colleagues made a god out of the Union. If the British forces fought for bad King George, the Union armies pillaged and murdered on behalf of this pagan idol, this "Union," this Moloch that demanded terrible human sacrifice to sustain its power and its glory.

This worship of state is becoming obvious even to the obtuse as "Freedom of Religion" becomes corrupted toward "Freedom from religion other than worship of the state". What was yankee (spit) birthed is now irrational atheist borne.

Rothbard's reference to Milton's Moloch is especially apt:

First MOLOCH, horrid King besmear'd with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents tears,
Though for the noyse of Drums and Timbrels loud
Their childrens cries unheard, that past through fire
To his grim Idol.

Props to our token Jew Bankster, Josh, for the Rothbard link.

Even the Finns and Soviets Love the South

Bless their hearts.

Congress Will Birth The Healthcare Abomination

All the election of Scott Brown will do, as fun as it has been to watch, is give a cloak of legitimacy for the congressional politburo to crouch behind whilst spinning sticky strands to further ensnare the public in its totalitarian web. Congress now has a failed president to sheild it from the full force of the publics ire; watch the toads get busy.

Coakley will be seen as a sacrificial lamb (or goat, depending on your point of view) by the commentariat served up to quench burning "Tea Party" sentiment. All will breathe a sigh of relief that it wasn't them and will go back to work destroying piecemeal the remnants of the free nation whose demise the Bastard Lincoln began.

May Your Next Sights Be Trijicon

Because it torments these idiots so.

And wouldn't you know a damned pansy lawyer has his panties in a wad at the idea folks might err by worshiping God rather than his state?!

"It's wrong, it violates the Constitution, it violates a number of federal laws," said Michael "Mikey" Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, an advocacy group that seeks to preserve the separation of church and state in the military.

Proof positive you don't need to be able to think to string words together. There's not a thing wrong with that except most folk hear words well strung and assume that indicates reason.

"It violates the constitution"...... Which article exactly is that? Oh, yeah - "Congress shall buy no scope with biblical references marked upon them" that's the one.

Go See The Book of Eli

One of the best Christian films to come along in a long time, The Book of Eli mixes melancholy and sudden brutal violence in such a way as to have a viewer uncertain of whether the next sequence will be soliloquy or slaughter.

There is plenty of action, plenty of plot, but no boobs. (Hey, it's a Christian film.) And the official critics hate it for the same reasons everyone else loves it. The words "preachy" , "flawed", "doomily pompous", and my favorite quip "the constantly preachy tone tends to grate after a while, and nothing in the self-important, supposedly revelatory denouement makes up for having been fed so much irredeemably inexplicable hokum." Obviously, the socially autistic did not find it enjoyable; how dare someone make a movie without the obligatory disdain for western culture! They thought we were "past that".

That hollywood made this film amazes me, as it should you. I look for the sky to fall any day now.

Objective Reality and What Passes for the Liberal "Mind"

Senator Harry Reid is being put through the wringer for stating these verifiable facts:

(1) That Obama is a "light-skinned" black man and that (2) he has "no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one."

The rationalization of taking offense to these facts averages out to be "We have moved beyond these sort of racial comments". When men's minds have become so befuddled they are no longer able to see shades or hear sounds this will come to pass. The left claims this attribute.

As an illustration of the efficacy of the left's claim to befuddlement I present the following citation from Jeff Davis' Message to the Provisional Congress of the Confederate States of America in April of 1861 regarding African slaves in the South.

In moral and social condition they had been elevated from brutal savages into docile, intelligent, and civilized agricultural laborers, and supplied not only with bodily comforts but with careful religious instruction.

To which, a Befuddled Leftist responded:

Read it. Yeah, he didn't have a very good grasp of the US Constitution. And of course, there's the "brutal savages" and "superior race" comments. Nice.

The Befuddled Leftist's implication that the African slaves in the South were erroneously characterized as having been "brutal savages" is illustrative of the ignorance and bone-deep stupidity the left often holds forth as intellectual discourse. No dictionaries in left-land I take it:

savage
Function: noun
Date: 15th century

1 : a person belonging to a primitive society
2 : a brutal person
3 : a rude or unmannerly person

As for the Befuddled Leftist's disdain for Davis' use of the term "superior race"....

su·pe·ri·or
Date: 14th century

1 : situated higher up : upper
2 : of higher rank, quality, or importance

race
Function: noun
Date: 1580
1 : a breeding stock of animals
2 a : a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock b : a class or kind of people unified by shared interests, habits, or characteristics
3 a : an actually or potentially interbreeding group within a species; also : a taxonomic category (as a subspecies) representing such a group b : breed c : a category of humankind that shares certain distinctive physical traits

In each of the above instances both men spoke obviously correctly in observance of objectively verifiable and obvious fact, yet the left hyperventilated en masse media over Harry Reid's truthful statement and the Befuddled Leftist dismissed Jeff Davis honest remarks entirely without thought or even the modicum of intellectual curiosity that would compel one to pick up Webster's.

Obviously, the exercise of reasoned discourse with the modern left is a solitary endeavor.
