There are always three ways; your way, their way, MY WAY. Things will go a lot easier for you if we just do it my way in the first place.

Broke Bike Mountain
Rock will do that. Nathan's bike had arough go of it on Stagecoach. No parts to be found so "Soccer practice" (my name for nathans bike as it has spent a lot off time flopped on the ground) will have to be babied to avoid permanent fork damage.

There's a story here.
Our stagecoah road turned out to be a 10 mile trials event. We ended up hauling ass off the mountain running from a rainstorm to no avail. Ball shriveling cold.

No sense in takin' the easy way....
This is the old stagecoach route across Los Pinos pass to Lake City, Co.
Of course, we took it. And discovered there has been some serious degradation in the quality of the road over the last 150 years....

The shame.
I hesitated to post this, but that's my brother making lime-ade out of a Modelo.

Here we met a cowboy.
This is on switchbacks in Colorado an just around a sharp bend. I turned the corner and found the road completely blocked by cows. Red ones. We BS'd with the cowboy riding herd on them for a bit and had a smoke and a sit.
He had met a few folk riding our route and knew what we were up to. Seems we are a day behind a another group on its way to utah.
The trail looks steep because it is.
