The Luddite in Chief

Always nice to get some good meaty hypocrisy from Captain Kenya:

"With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, -- none of which I know how to work -- information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation," Obama said.

It's not exactly hard to figure why the left is bemoaning folk getting information for diverse outlets. Oh, the irony....

Folks in my family, especially my father, acknowledge that I know the most about technology.  That means that they come to me for help with it, not forbid me from having it.  But then why am I expecting logic from the left in general and Obama in particular?

What I find readily amusing is that Obama admits his ignorance of how to use them and thinks that this has any bearing on the freedom and ubiquitousness of information.  I imagine this quote from a webcomic would be readily applicable not just to Obama, not just to the Left, but to most, if not all politicos:

"Damn it!  Don't ever try to apply logic to my actions!  It just screws me up!"  -Mega Man Bob and George

Wait wait.  Did Obama just say that he does not know how to use an iPod?

Yes, yes he did.  Which is especially funny, because I recall from an earlier article that he actually has an iPod.  That he apparently can't work.

The sooner this bastard is relegated to the talking head department, the better.

Surely, Mike, that's the department he's always been in.  Puppet in chief.

Yeah, Dr. Utopia can't operate electronic equipment, but he wants to run our health care and the Wookie wants to regulate our diets.

And decide when we have made enough money.
