Dude, I Don't Get It.

Just fucking leave. Don't destroy your home, your family, and your airplane - just fly the hell away.

Those who have figured out the deck is stacked and can no longer hide in a niche somewhere, having found themselves "noticed" by a tribe of manna hungry bureaucrats looking to make an example of another rube who didn't realize the judiciary is just the enforcement branch of the revenue service need to take the decision to leave. You can't fight city hall, and you damned sure can't fight the IRS. Just get the hell away from them.

Perhaps you won't live to the status you achieved in the states, but your children will have a father, your wife will have a husband.

Leave the sonsofbitches to each others company and amuse yourself with news of the self-destruction of the US from afar with the certitude it doesn't affect you or yours.

It's like has been said elsewhere, the guy bought in to the system, like a good subject, tried to convince himself to believe the lies right up until he snapped. He lost it, went nuts, and killed himself trying to scrape a few skin cells off of the government beast. Even if he had wiped out the whole office, it wouldn't matter or change anything at all, except to those skin cells who he would have killed. Insanity.

Following that analogy, expecting the government to change, to shrink itself, is like expecting an animal to chew off it's legs. Unless it's a matter of absolute survival, and somethimes not even then, it's not going to happen. And Ron Paul is the example of what happens when you try to fight from within, following the rules: you're shut down.

Bad times lie ahead for modern-day Rome.

Wow. I must have wrote mine while you were still adding to the entry? You had only two sentences when I added a comment, much of which you said in the updated post...

So that bass is probably ashes now, huh?

The ultimate selfish act. He could have worked on learning to give to others - especially his family - though it sounds like he never got that figured out very well either. Sounds like he doth project to much. Not that Leviathan isn't evil incarnate, just that there are more important things to live for...or, apparently not.

I like your take on it though, Mikesbo.

That's be my guess.

Most folks I know, when they hear from the IRS, throw money at them until they go away. Nothing else works.

Just another traitor thinking that because he was self-employed, he didn't have to pay taxes.   Good riddance.

I'm actually in Austin this week, and we got caught up in the traffic jam resulting from this. We thought it was an office fire, and puzzled over what could have caused it, until we saw it on the news in Costco when we finally got there. Burned out the building pretty well.

They showed what was left of the plane on the news. It was seriously mangled, only parts of the tail were vaguely recognizable. Eye witnesses say he was moving right along when he plowed into the building.

The guy was just nuts, seriously, I wouldn't read anything into this.  People go postal all the time for their own personal reasons.  I've been audited, I know lots of people that have been audited, and it really sucks, people talk about moving to Italy, Mexico, et al, but nobody talks about flying a plane into buildings.
